1. Training Introduction

Natural resources such as land, water, forests, and rangelands are fundamental to livelihoods, food security, environmental stability, and economic development. However, increasing population pressure, unsustainable land use practices, overgrazing, climate change and weak governance have led to resource degradation and reduced productivity.

This training programme is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and management tools required to plan, manage, and conserve natural resources sustainably. The programme emphasizes integrated land use planning, sustainable grazing systems, environmental stewardship, and community-based resource management approaches.
