Introduction:
Internal auditors are often required to test large
volumes of data to form conclusions about controls, compliance, or
transactions. Without efficient sampling, audits can become time-consuming,
costly, or less reliable.
Statistical sampling allows auditors to draw
conclusions about entire populations using scientifically defensible methods.
It supports objectivity, enhances audit quality, and reduces audit effort while
increasing assurance.
This training is designed to help auditors move
beyond judgmental sampling and adopt statistical sampling techniques
that are aligned with IIA Standards, GAO Yellow Book, and ISACA
guidance.
