Project Participatory and Rapid Rural Appraisal (PRA & RRA) Workshop
TRAINING
INTRODUCTION
In rural and community-based development,
successful project design and implementation depend heavily on accurate,
timely, and inclusive understanding of local contexts. Participatory Rural
Appraisal (PRA) and Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) are sets of tools and
approaches that empower development practitioners to learn directly from
communities, value local knowledge, and ensure that interventions are
relevant, people-centered, and sustainable.
This workshop is designed to build the skills of
project staff, field officers, extension workers, and community facilitators in
using PRA and RRA methodologies to engage communities in the
identification, planning, implementation, and monitoring of development
projects. The training is highly participatory and field-oriented, using
practical sessions and real-life case simulations.
