1. Introduction
Irrigation projects play a vital role in
agricultural productivity, food security, and rural development. However,
managing these projects requires a multidisciplinary understanding of technical
systems, financial sustainability, community engagement, environmental impacts,
and policy frameworks.
This training is designed to strengthen the
capacity of irrigation professionals to plan, implement, manage, and
evaluate irrigation projects effectively using both conventional and modern
methods. It integrates engineering, agronomy, project management,
governance, and sustainability perspectives.
