Public Health Nutrition

Introduction
Public health nutrition plays a critical role in
preventing disease, promoting health, and improving the quality of life at the
population level. As malnutrition—both undernutrition and
overnutrition—continues to be a major public health issue, there is a growing
need for professionals with the knowledge and skills to design, implement, and
evaluate nutrition-related programs and policies.
This training program provides participants with an
in-depth understanding of nutritional science, epidemiology, program planning,
policy development, and community engagement strategies aimed at improving
nutritional health at the local, national, and global levels.

Awarded to participants who:
- Attend
at least 85% of the training sessions
- Participate
in all assignments and group activities
Professional Certificate in
Public Health Nutrition
Awarded to participants who:
- Submit
and present a capstone nutrition program plan
- Complete
a final assessment (practical or written)
- Demonstrate
practical skills in nutrition analysis and program development
Certification may be endorsed by public health
institutions, Ministries of Health, universities, or development agencies such
as WHO, UNICEF, or FAO.
