Reduction and Better Life for Rural Women Workshop

Introduction
Rural women play a central role in food production,
family welfare, community resilience, and local economic development. Yet, they
often face significant challenges such as limited access to resources, low
income-generating opportunities, gender-based inequalities, and barriers to
education, leadership, and health services.
This workshop is designed to empower rural women by
strengthening their economic capacity, leadership roles, and quality of life.
It equips participants with practical skills, knowledge, and tools that promote
sustainable livelihoods, financial independence, and community transformation.
Through applied learning, participants gain confidence to build businesses,
engage in community decision-making, and adopt strategies that reduce poverty
in their households and communities.

Training Objectives
The workshop aims to:
- Empower
rural women with practical livelihood and entrepreneurial skills.
- Enhance
financial literacy, budgeting, and income diversification.
- Strengthen
leadership, decision-making, and community participation.
- Promote
sustainable agricultural practices and value-chain integration.
- Improve
health, nutrition, and household well-being.
- Build
capacity for collective action, self-help groups, and cooperative
development.
- Equip
participants with strategies for poverty reduction and long-term
resilience.

This programme is designed for:
- Rural
women farmers, traders, artisans, and entrepreneurs
- Women
leaders in rural communities
- Members
of women’s associations, cooperatives, and self-help groups

development workers and community volunteers

interested in improving livelihoods and community well-being

Duration
Total Duration: 4–5 days (flexible based on community
needs)
Modules can be delivered as half-day or full-day sessions, or integrated
into community outreach cycles.
