Mainstreaming and Community Development

Introduction
Gender mainstreaming is the process of assessing
the implications for women and men of any planned action, including
legislation, policies, or programs, in all areas and at all levels. In
community development, integrating gender perspectives ensures equitable access
to resources, participation, and benefits for all community members.
This training equips participants with the knowledge
and skills to integrate gender considerations into all stages of community
development, from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation.

The programme aims to:

understanding of gender concepts, equality, and equity in community
development.

skills for integrating gender perspectives into planning, implementation,
and evaluation of community projects.

inclusive participation and decision-making in communities.
